Hi Laura – thanks for the comment. Apologies for not responding sooner. I have since discovered a couple of really good fish and chips places. One is by the Old Vic theater (can’t quite remember the name) and the other is Rock, Sole and Plaice by Leicester Square. I will certainly try Poppies.

Lovely article, but as someone who lives in central London, I just wanted to comment on the fish and chips. You’re absolutely right in saying that they’re a staple, but unfortunately, around the city centre, you’re not going to find many chippies!

If tourists are looking to find fish ‘n’ chips, there is a place off Picadilly Circus, or else there’s Poppies by Spitalfields Market.

Madame Tussauds was brilliant I thought. Itw as my favourite. I thought the London Eye was very boring.
